π About the Symposium
The IWGGD invites you to join the 3rd IWGGD Symposium in Trieste, Italy.
This in-person meeting brings together clinicians, researchers, industry partners, and patient representatives to share the latest advances in Gaucher disease and related fields.
The program includes plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions, patient perspectives, and Working Groups meetings.

What is included in the Registration Fee
Registration includes:
- Access to all scientific sessions (as specified in the program)
- Symposium materials
- Coffee breaks and lunches as per program
- Participation in the optional Welcome Dinner (Sunday)
- Participation in the optional Networking Dinner (Tuesday)
Social & Networking Activities
The Welcome Dinner (Sunday) and Networking Dinner (Tuesday) are informal networking events.
These activities are organized separately from the scientific programme and participation is entirely voluntary.
Please note that social activities are reserved exclusively for registered participants.

π Late-breaking Abstracts
The deadline for late-breaking abstract submission (28 February 2026) has now passed.
All accepted late-breaking abstracts will be considered for poster presentation only.

The program includes plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions, patient perspectives, and working groups meetings.
π¨ Venue & Accommodation
The main symposium venue is the Savoia Excelsior Palace, Trieste, where all sessions will take place.
Accommodation is not included in the registration fee. Participants may choose to stay at the venue hotel or at nearby hotels within walking distance.

Participants are advised to arrange travel to Trieste via Trieste Airport (TRS) or nearby airports such as Venice Marco Polo (VCE), Treviso (TSF), or Ljubljana (LJU).

π Organized Bus Transfers (Venice Marco Polo Airport β Trieste)
IWGGD will organize optional bus transfers between Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) and Trieste on the following dates:
Arrival Transfers
- Saturday, 2 May 2026 – 18:00
- Sunday, 3 May 2026 – 12:00
- Sunday, 3 May 2026 – 16:30 (latest transfer; symposium opening session begins at 19:00. Pre-meetings and Working Groups begin at 14:00).
Departure Transfer
- Wednesday, 6 May 2026 – 13:30

- Seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first served basis.
- The bus will depart strictly at the scheduled time.

Five IWGGD awards will be presented at the 3rd IWGGD Symposium to recognize outstanding contributions to Gaucher disease research and care.
